Consultation

The first step is to schedule a FREE twenty minute phone consultation to discuss your child's strengths and areas of concern, as well as the possibility of planning an observation at your child's school. We can work together to communicate and get approval from your school.

Next we provide feedback after the observation and teacher interview to discuss potential goals and treatment plan. At this time we also give an estimated duration and frequency needed to achieve the collaborative goals.

Then, the agreed upon OT program will be implemented. We will work with your student at their school at an agreed
upon time that is best for the
student, classroom, and school.
Classroom & Community Services
Screenings
We offer FREE screenings in preschool, kindergarten and 1-2 grade classrooms. We look at the hand development of fine motor skills like grasp, scissor skills, and dexterity. We also look at the underlying skills necessary for handwriting such as how the hands and eyes work together to create coordinated movement and a child's overall upper body strength and stability. Other components we can screen for are executive functioning and how your child plans movement and if sensory strategies may be helpful. Contact us to set up a screening.
Training
We offer staff development training for educators and staff on how to support students in general with fine and visual motor development. We can answer the questions staff may have regarding how to support their students in development. We can also come to parent education courses and support parents in the same way. Please contact us if you are interested in setting up an OT training class.
Outreach
We love to volunteer and support the neurodivergent community in our area. Often times child-focused businesses such as gymnastics, dance, art, music classes and and the like need support in designing their programs to be more inclusive. I can volunteer 30 minutes of consultation to observe and recommend strategies and tools that can support all our kids. Please contact us to set up a consultation.
